Discover Yourself

We thank Almighty Allah for introducing us to Sadathullah Khan, who facilitates the three-day seminar Discover Yourself. To date, these seminars have positively changed the lives of thousands of participants irreversibly. This course started in October 2005 when I received a phone call from the late Shamshad Khan (Botswana), Almighty Allah bless him, who introduced and explained the course Discover Yourself. Shamshad proposed we facilitate a seminar in Pretoria with Sadathullah Khan from Bangalore as our host.

We agreed on a three-day seminar in February 2006 at the Halima Hall in Erasmia, Pretoria, South Africa. News of this life-changing seminar spread, and this resulted in demand from various cities.

Born in Bangalore, India, Sadathullah Khan completed his BSc in Mechanical Engineering in 1975, winning a Gold Medal from Bangalore University for passing with distinction. He has a diploma in journalism and is the editor and publisher of Islamic Voice. Sadathullah has been involved in youth activities and seminars most of his adult life. He gave up his fruit and pulp business, Al-Wasr Exports,  to follow his passion to make a difference in the lives of the Muslim

Ummah.

During the past ten years, Sadathullah Khan has travelled around the world conducting more than 500 workshops over three-day periods in major cities.

Day 1 introduces the discovery of the concept of Laa ilaaha illal Laah where anger disappears, our outlook on life changes, and we feel free as we realize we are carrying baggage from the past. We enter into a state of tranquillity as people and the world around us transform.

On day 2 we offload worry and fear from the past and learn to live in the present. Our view of life changes as we discover the power and freedom to take on life’s challenges with a new attitude instead of demands and burdens. As we learn to live in the present, adopt a new attitude, and create a new future, we make the Hijra, purify our hearts and connect to Almighty Allah.

Day 3 opens a new world around us. We see life as simple; with truth prevailing and falsehood perishing we make jihad of the nafs; we discover the gift Almighty Allah has blessed every human being with: to live a life of love, joy, peace, happiness and contentment.

In the Noble Qur’an (Surah ar-Ra‘d), Almighty Allah says: ‘Verily never will Allah change the condition of a people until they change it in themselves’ ([13]:11). In another verse in Surah al-A‘la, Almighty Allah says: ‘Those will prosper who purify themselves’ ([87]:14). The secret to success is purification.

The three-day course, Discover Yourself, will insha’Allah, make a difference in our thinking. We will become far more effective in everything we do. It will free us from imprisoned memories of the past, and will create harmony and balance in our personalities. We will feel alive and ready to face the challenges of life. We will focus, be better people and make a difference to the lives of everyone we meet.

Discover Yourself is a transformational experience that empowers the entire family, single parents, divorcees and unmarried brothers and sisters. Disputes between husband and wife, and family conflicts have been resolved. During sharing sessions, I realized that parents lack the ability and skill to care for their children and it became clear that our women are abused: verbally, physically, psychologically and mentally.

I have travelled to many countries, attending seminars hosted by world-renowned scholars who shared information and personal experiences; Earl Nightingale, Dennis Wheatley, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Peter Haibloom and John Kehoe, among others. I always felt there was a need to write a course for Muslims, based on the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah, as Sadathullah Khan has done.

We have embarked on a mission through the Discover Yourself seminars and we intend insha’Allah to build a central group of talented and energetic teams who will be Khalifahs, (vicegerents) of Almighty Allah and make it their mission to change the world, and pursue Almighty Allah’s dictates by establishing love, peace and harmony on His planet.

We have embarked on a mission to make a difference in the lives of men and women and to change the world. We pray to Almighty Allah to bless, guide and grant us success in all our endeavours.

To date over 4,000 brothers and sisters in South Africa from all walks of life, housewives, layman, doctors, lawyers, accountants, teachers and Ulemah have attended this life changing workshop. We dedicate these and all future workshops for the Esaale Sawaab of our Nabie Muhammad (S), our dearest brother Shamshaad Khan and all Marhoom, Almighty Allah grant them Janaat-ul Firdous.
