The Prophets
There were 124,000 prophets sent by Almighty God. All the Prophets and Messengers were blessed with miracles. The miracle of the noble Messenger Muhammad (S) is the noble Qur’an that was revealed to him through the Archangel Gabriel over a period of twenty-three years.
The noble Messenger Muhammad (S) was a living model of the noble Qur’an in his conduct and practice. The Prophets Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all) were recipients of the same message: there is only one God who brought into existence the entire creation.
The noble Qur’an asserts that the message of all the Prophets (peace be upon them) was identical and they professed the same message: that mankind must submit to the One and Only, All-Powerful, All-Knowing, All-Hearing, All-Mighty God.
Islam emphasizes that the One and Only Reality is Almighty God, who breathed His spirit into mankind. Our responsibility in this temporal material dimension is to discover Him through the study of the noble Qur’an, wherein Almighty God says He is closer to us than our jugular vein.
