Unleash the Power of Allah Within You ‘With knowledge man rises to the heights of goodness and to a Noble position and attains to the perfection of happiness in the next world.’ —The noble Messenger Muhammad (S) We are divinely inspired beings brought into this world by Almighty Allah to fulfil His desires. We thank Him for blessing us with the opportunity as spiritual beings to have a material experience. We have been blessed with the instruments (that is, the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah) to understand our spiritual self and discover the leads and the signs to unleash our higher self. Almighty Allah has blessed us with His divine power. We have come to this temporary material dimension to discover His spirit in us so that we may earn a place to live in bliss in the Hereafter. Almighty Allah reinforces the power of the Noble Qur’an in Surah al-Anbiya. ‘Verily in this Noble Qur’an is a message for people who truly worship Allah’ ([21]:106). In Surah al-Furqan, Almighty Allah says: ‘The Qur’an was sent down by Him who knows the mystery (that is) in the xiv heavens and the earth: verily He is All Forgiving, Most Merciful’ ([25]:6). Almighty Allah’s message over the centuries to all the prophets, Abraham, Moses and Jesus, culminates in the Noble Qur’an. The laws it reveals of nature, of the universe, and of human destiny in the present life and the life to come provide a clear message to those who are ready to receive Almighty Allah’s guidance. Those who are ready to change will ponder over the Qur’an and use it in their daily lives. Our responsibility is to develop our higher self (awareness) which will control our ego identity—the dominant force in our lives that Iblees uses to control us. We have the power of both, Almighty Allah and Iblees; through understanding ourselves we will discover Almighty Allah, and Iblees will become a nonentity, subservient to us. Islam is a natural, complete, perfect way of life. That is why Allah repeatedly refers to it in the Noble Qur’an as deen (way of life). Islam is an integrated set of everlasting eternal principles and timeless values that liberate the potential of the mind, body and soul. Islam directs us to be in tune with the power of Almighty Allah. Our mission is to break the resistance and connect with Almighty Allah. Self-mastery and consistent care of the mind, body and soul are essential to unearth our higher selves and live the lives of our dreams. If we can’t care for ourselves, how can we care for others? If we don’t feel good, how can we do good? We can’t love one another if we don’t love ourselves. xv Only when we master the art of loving ourselves are we able to love others. We can touch the hearts of others only once we have opened our own hearts. Reading this book will help you understand how to unleash and experience a spiritual awakening of the powers that Almighty Allah has placed deep within us. When we carry unspoken resentment towards others, we project negative energy that contaminates our personalities and in time causes more pain and unhappiness. Almighty Allah has created us, as spiritual beings, to live in this material dimension, to unearth and discover His powers within us. Almighty Allah declares His powers are in us. He urges those of humankind who want happiness and success in this world and the Hereafter to obey Him. In Surah al-Hijr, Almighty Allah says: ‘When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My Spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto Him’ ([15]:29). It is this power that is the link we have with Almighty Allah to transcend beyond this material world to the spiritual realm of hearts and minds. It is this breath of Almighty Allah’s power that allows human beings to go beyond time and space, achieving a proper balance between the material and spiritual gifts that guide us to spiritual perfection. Almighty Allah’s power is present in every human being; He has placed His spirit in us. Almighty Allah has blessed humankind with the faculties of knowledge and will. These powerful privileges, if used according to the Noble Qur’an xvi and the Sunnah, will unleash Almighty Allah’s power within us. With the knowledge of Almighty Allah, we will understand the meaning of surrender, when we place ourselves under the guidance of Almighty Allah (SWT). We reach a stage of limitless knowledge and thoughts, we transcend physic al boundaries, and have more energy, enthusiasm and in ner harmony than ever before experienced. A lasting sense of wellbeing will swiftly return to our lives. Failure, whether professional, personal or spiritual, is essential for personal expansion; it unearths inner growth and a host of hidden psychic and mystical rewards. View short term failures, material or spiritual, as building blocks for future success; don’t use these temporary setbacks as excuses; learn from them! The trick is to move forward as we fail. Failure is sometimes the royal road, or highway, to success. A Sufi sage had said: ‘A man becomes rich in experience after getting plenty of knocks and overcoming obstacles. Henna gives colour only after being ground on the stone.’ In Surah al-Baqarah, Almighty Allah promises the believers: ‘O you who are committed [to Allah]! Seek help in steadfast patience and salah [link with Allah]; for Allah is with those who patiently persevere [in adversity]’ ([2]:153). Almighty Allah rewards those who patiently persevere. Patience and persistence form the bridge between short-term failures and ultimate success. If we make mistakes in life, but repent xvii sincerely, Almighty Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful. This divine assurance opens the door to every kind of spiritual wellbeing. Never regret the past; rather embrace it as the teacher it is. However, like a cup, our minds are full of our own ideas and opinions; new ideas can’t enter until we empty the cup. We do the same every day; we spend time with the same people with the same thoughts. To experience the true meaning of life, be adventurous, open-minded, and free of all preconceived ideas and notions and don’t judge. Carefully direct attention inwardly, and think of the thoughts our minds produce: are they good, honest, truthful and just? Everything in the world works with intention. Intention attracts attention. Intent that is good and honest is a force that works through the power of Almighty Allah. The energetic power of Almighty Allah is everywhere. ‘Our actions will be judged by Allah according to our intentions,’ said the noble Messenger Muhammad (S). In Surah Yunus, Almighty Allah reminds us of His presence: ‘Whatever deed ye may be doing, We are Witness thereof. Nor is hidden from thy Lord [so much as] the weight of an atom, on the earth or in heaven’ ([10]:61). Almighty Allah’s power is ever-present; His power is over all; His knowledge comprehends and encompasses everything, He has count of everything and nothing can hide from Him. Almighty Allah is independent of time, place or circumstance. xviii Human knowledge is subject to time; Almighty Allah is not subject to time and His power is timeless. Almighty Allah’s power is infinite; everything living is subject to His power and control. To unleash the powers of Almighty Allah in us, we must remove barriers in our minds and thoughts. If we have absolute faith, believe in Almighty Allah and commit to change, He will direct our will to be creative and guide us to unleash the potential He has blessed us with. In Surah al-Baqarah, Almighty Allah says: ‘I will create a vicegerent on Earth’ ([2]:30). Almighty Allah in His wisdom has handed over the affairs of the earth and its destiny to man. He has blessed mankind with free rein to use, develop and transform the earth’s energies and resources for the fulfilment of Almighty Allah’s Will and purpose of creation. T he noble Messenger of Allah, Jesus (S) said: ‘Whoever learns the inner meanings of these truths will live forever in the eternal sea.’ T he noble Messenger of Allah, Muhammad (S) said: ‘He who travels in the search of knowledge, to him Allah shows the way to paradise
