Abu Bakr As-Siddiq (RA) was the closest companion of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the first adult male to accept Islam. He is known as As-Siddiq — The Truthful — for his immediate and unwavering belief in the Prophet ﷺ, especially during the incident of Al-Isra wal-Mi'raj. He was later chosen as the first Caliph of Islam after the passing of the Prophet ﷺ, guiding the Muslim Ummah during one of its most critical periods.

Early Life
Abu Bakr (RA) was born into a respected merchant family in Makkah. He was known for his honesty, good manners, and wisdom even before Islam. He avoided idol worship and was well-respected among the Quraysh for his integrity and character.
Acceptance of Islam
When the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ called people to Islam, Abu Bakr (RA) accepted immediately without hesitation. His acceptance marked a turning point, as he used his influence to bring many others into Islam. Through him, several major companions embraced Islam, including Uthman ibn Affan, Zubair ibn Al-Awwam, Talhah ibn Ubaydullah, and Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with them all).

Abu Bakr (RA) was the Prophet's closest companion in every stage of the mission. He supported the Prophet ﷺ financially, emotionally, and spiritually. He accompanied the Prophet ﷺ during the migration (Hijrah), as Allah Himself mentions in the Qur'an:
"If you do not aid him, Allah has already aided him when those who disbelieved drove him out… while he was one of two in the cave…"

Becoming Caliph

In one of the most memorable moments of Islamic history, he addressed the people with words that steadied the entire Ummah:
"Whoever worshipped Muhammad, Muhammad has died. But whoever worships Allah, Allah is Ever-Living and does not die."
