Practical guidance for everyday life and character, drawn directly from the Qur'an
"And cooperate in righteousness and piety." — Surah Al-Ma'idah (5:2)
Guidance for Everyday Living
The Qur'an is not only a book of belief — it is a book of conduct, shaping how we speak, walk, treat our neighbours, spend our wealth, and carry ourselves in every interaction. Below are sixty practical lessons drawn from its verses, covering speech, character, relationships, and daily life. Reference numbers are given in [Surah/Ayah] format so you can look up each verse for yourself.

🔍 On Judgement and Knowledge
21. When you hear something malicious about someone, keep a favourable view of them until you know the full picture — consider others innocent until proven guilty with solid evidence [24:12-13]
22. Verify the truth of any news before acting on it, lest you harm someone out of ignorance and later regret it [49:6]
23. Do not follow blindly what you have no direct knowledge of — you will be held accountable for your hearing, sight, and reasoning [17:36]
24. Never think you have reached the final stage of knowledge — above everyone with knowledge is one who knows more. Even the Prophet ﷺ was told to pray, "O my Sustainer, advance me in knowledge" [12:76, 20:114]
