Ramadan Duʿas

Turning to Allah with sincere hearts throughout Ramadan

Ramadan is a special opportunity to increase our duʿa. While fasting, during the quiet moments of the day and especially in the final part of the night, turn to Allah with humility, hope and sincerity.

❤️ Allah Invites Us to Make Duʿa

Allah سبحانه وتعالى tells us that He is near and responds to those who call upon Him.

وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِي عَنِّي فَإِنِّي قَرِيبٌ ۖ أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ
```
“And when My servants ask you concerning Me, indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of every supplicant when he calls upon Me.”
Qur'an 2:186
```

This verse appears in the passage of the Qur'an dealing with Ramadan and fasting. It is a beautiful reminder that Ramadan should be a time when we turn to Allah frequently in duʿa.

🌙 Make Duʿa With Sincerity

Duʿa is not simply asking Allah for what we want. It is an act of worship and an expression of our dependence upon our Creator.

🤲 Be Sincere

Ask Allah with a sincere heart and trust in Him.

❤️ Ask for Good

Ask Allah for what is beneficial in this life and the Hereafter.

🕊️ Have Hope

Never lose hope in Allah's mercy and generosity.

⏳ Be Patient

Continue making duʿa and trust Allah's wisdom.

📖 Beautiful Duʿas From the Qur'an

1. Asking for Good in This World and the Hereafter

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

“Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

Qur'an 2:201

2. Asking Allah for Mercy

رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ

“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”

Qur'an 7:23

3. Asking for Forgiveness

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

“My Lord, forgive me and have mercy upon me, and You are the best of the merciful.”

Qur'an 23:118

4. Asking for a Righteous Family

“Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.”

Qur'an 25:74

5. Asking for Beneficial Knowledge

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا

“My Lord, increase me in knowledge.”

Qur'an 20:114

❤️ Ask Allah for Forgiveness

Ramadan is an excellent time to turn away from sins and sincerely seek Allah's forgiveness. Do not allow past mistakes to make you despair. Turn back to Allah with sincere tawbah.

Keep Istighfar on Your Tongue

أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ

“I seek forgiveness from Allah.”

⏰ When Should You Make Duʿa?

Make duʿa throughout the day and night. Ramadan gives us many opportunities to turn to Allah.

🌙 During the Night

Use the quiet hours for sincere worship and duʿa.

🤲 While Fasting

Keep turning to Allah throughout your fast.

🌇 Around Iftar

Use the time around breaking the fast for remembrance and duʿa.

🕌 During Qiyam

Ask Allah sincerely during your night worship.

💚 Make Your Own Duʿa

Do not think that you can only make duʿa using Arabic. You may ask Allah sincerely in the language you understand, especially when making personal requests.

Speak to Allah about your worries, your hopes, your family, your future and your shortcomings. Ask Him to guide you, forgive you and bring you closer to Him.

Remember: The duʿas included above are established supplications from the Qur'an. Your personal duʿa can be simple and heartfelt. Speak to Allah sincerely and ask Him for what is good.

📅 A Simple Ramadan Duʿa Plan

🌅 Morning: Ask Allah to bless your day and strengthen your iman.

☀️ During the fast: Make personal duʿa whenever you have a quiet moment.

🌇 Before Maghrib: Spend a few moments making sincere duʿa.

The Qur'an in Ramadan

Making the Qur'an the heart of your Ramadan

Ramadan and the Qur'an are closely connected. It is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed, making it a special opportunity to read, listen to, understand, and reflect upon the words of Allah.

🌙 Ramadan — The Month of the Qur'an

Allah سبحانه وتعالى says:

شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ

“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.”

Qur'an 2:185

```
This verse reminds us that Ramadan is not simply a month of fasting. It is a month of guidance, and the Qur'an is at the center of that guidance.
❤️ Why Give the Qur'an More Time?
Throughout the year, our lives can become busy with work, family responsibilities, and everyday concerns. Ramadan gives us an opportunity to slow down and make the Qur'an a greater part of our daily lives.
📖 Read
Set aside a regular time each day to read the Qur'an.
🎧 Listen
Listen to Qur'an recitation while travelling or during quiet periods.
💭 Reflect
Think about the meanings and lessons contained in what you read.
❤️ Apply
Allow the Qur'an to influence your character and daily actions.
📅 Create a Realistic Qur'an Routine
You do not need to begin with an unrealistic target. Choose an amount that you can maintain consistently and gradually increase if you are able.
🌅 After Fajr: Read a portion of the Qur'an while your mind is fresh.
☀️ During the day: Read or listen to Qur'an when you have a quiet moment.
🌇 Before or after Maghrib: Spend some time reading and reflecting.
🌙 At night: Listen carefully to the Qur'an during Taraweeh and continue your personal reading if possible.
📚 How Much Should You Read?
There is no need to compare your Qur'an journey with somebody else's. Some people may complete the Qur'an several times, while others may read a smaller amount while concentrating carefully on understanding and reflection.
Choose a realistic target based on your circumstances. The important thing is to approach the Qur'an sincerely and consistently.
A simple starting point
  • Start with a manageable daily amount.
  • Choose a regular time.
  • Keep your Qur'an easily accessible.
  • Read with attention rather than rushing.
  • Increase your amount when you are comfortable.
💡 Read With Understanding
Reading the Arabic Qur'an is an important act of worship, but we should also make an effort to understand the message. Reading a reliable translation and studying a trustworthy explanation can help us appreciate the guidance contained in the Qur'an.
When you come across a verse that speaks to your situation, pause and think about what Allah is teaching you. Ask yourself how you can put that guidance into practice.
🎧 Listen During Taraweeh
Ramadan nights provide another opportunity to connect with the Qur'an. During Taraweeh, listen attentively to the recitation and try to remain present rather than allowing the mind to wander.
Even when you do not understand every Arabic word, listening to the recitation can become a beautiful part of your Ramadan routine. Learning the meanings of the verses can deepen that experience.
👨‍👩‍👧 Share the Qur'an With Your Family
Ramadan can also become a time when families reconnect with the Qur'an together.
Read Together
Set aside a short family Qur'an time.
Discuss
Talk about lessons from the verses you read.
Encourage Children
Help children develop a positive relationship with the Qur'an.
✅ Your Ramadan Qur'an Plan
☐ Choose a daily reading target.
☐ Select a regular time for reading.
☐ Read the Arabic Qur'an.
☐ Read a reliable translation.
☐ Listen to Qur'an recitation.
☐ Reflect on what you read.
☐ Learn at least one lesson each day.
☐ Try to carry the Qur'an's guidance into your daily life.
🌙 Let the Qur'an Change You
```

Ramadan is not only about completing pages. It is about allowing the words of Allah to reach our hearts and influence the way we live.

Read. Listen. Understand. Reflect. Act.

May Allah make the Qur'an the light of our hearts, the guidance of our lives and a source of mercy for us in this world and the Hereafter. Ameen.

Complete Ramadan Guide

A practical guide to fasting, prayer, the Qur'an, du'a and worship

Ramadan is a month of mercy, worship and spiritual renewal. It is a time to turn our hearts towards Allah, strengthen our relationship with the Qur'an, establish our prayers and develop habits that can continue beyond Ramadan.

📖 The Purpose of Ramadan

Allah سبحانه وتعالى prescribed fasting so that believers may develop taqwa — consciousness and awareness of Allah.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الصِّيَامُ

“O you who believe, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may attain taqwa.”

Qur'an 2:183

Ramadan is therefore more than simply going without food and drink. It is an opportunity to improve our worship, character, patience, gratitude and relationship with Allah.

📚 Ramadan and the Qur'an

Ramadan has a special connection with the Qur'an. Allah tells us that Ramadan is the month in which the Qur'an was revealed as guidance for mankind.

“The month of Ramadan is that in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.”

Qur'an 2:185

Try to make the Qur'an part of every day of Ramadan. Your goal does not have to be complicated. Even a small amount read consistently can help establish a lasting habit.

🌙 Fasting with Sincerity

Fasting Ramadan is an act of worship performed for Allah. The Prophet ﷺ taught that fasting Ramadan with sincere faith and hoping for Allah's reward carries great virtue.

The Prophet ﷺ said that whoever fasts Ramadan with faith and hoping for Allah's reward will have his past sins forgiven.

Sahih al-Bukhari 38; Sahih al-Bukhari 1901

Fasting should also affect the way we speak and behave. Ramadan gives us an opportunity to control anger, avoid harmful speech, show patience and become better Muslims.

🕌 Protect Your Salah

Ramadan should strengthen our relationship with salah. Try to protect the five daily prayers and make an effort to pray them on time.

🌅 Fajr

Begin the day with salah and remembrance of Allah.

☀️ Dhuhr & Asr

Keep your worship alive throughout the working day.

🌇 Maghrib

Break your fast and remember Allah with gratitude.

🌙 Isha

Prepare for the night with salah, Qur'an and worship.

🕌 Taraweeh and Night Worship

The nights of Ramadan provide a special opportunity for additional prayer and worship. Taraweeh can help us slow down, listen to the Qur'an and spend more time remembering Allah.

If you cannot attend the masjid every night, do what you are able to do at home. The important thing is to establish sincere and consistent worship.

🤲 Make Du'a

Ramadan is a wonderful time to increase our du'a. Ask Allah for forgiveness, guidance, mercy, good health, beneficial knowledge, a strong family and a heart that remains close to Him.

❤️ Give Charity

Ramadan is also a time to think about people who are struggling. Give according to your ability and look for opportunities to help others.

Small acts can make a difference

  • Feed someone who is fasting.
  • Help a family in need.
  • Give sadaqah regularly.
  • Support a worthwhile cause.
  • Help someone without expecting anything in return.

❤️ Improve Your Character

Ramadan should not only change our daily schedule; it should change our character.

```
Be Patient
Control anger and respond with kindness.
Speak Good
Avoid gossip, arguments and harmful speech.
Forgive
Use Ramadan to repair relationships and forgive others.
Be Grateful
Appreciate the blessings Allah has given you.
```

📅 A Simple Ramadan Day

```
🌙 Before Fajr: Suhoor, du'a and preparation for the fast.
🌅 Fajr: Salah, Qur'an and morning adhkar.
☀️ Daytime: Work, family responsibilities and guarding the tongue and behaviour.
📖 During the day: Make time for Qur'an, dhikr and beneficial learning.
🌇 Before Maghrib: Make du'a and prepare to break the fast.
🌙 Evening: Maghrib, Isha, Qur'an and Taraweeh or additional night prayer.
😴 Before sleeping: Review your day, make istighfar and prepare for the next day.
```

✅ Ramadan Checklist

  • ☐ Protect the five daily prayers.
  • ☐ Fast sincerely for Allah.
  • ☐ Read Qur'an every day.
  • ☐ Increase du'a and dhikr.
  • ☐ Give charity and help others.
  • ☐ Guard your tongue and behaviour.
  • ☐ Make time for Taraweeh or additional night prayer.
  • ☐ Seek forgiveness regularly.
  • ☐ Work on one character improvement.
  • ☐ Make a plan for continuing good habits after Ramadan.

Begin with what you can manage, remain consistent, ask Allah for help, and use this blessed month as an opportunity to become closer to Him.

```
May Allah bless our Ramadan, accept our fasting and prayers, forgive our shortcomings, and guide us to what pleases Him. Ameen.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
🌙 Ramadan
Welcome to Ramadan.
A blessed month to fast, pray, remember Allah, and draw closer to Him.
🌙 The Blessed Month Has Arrived
Ramadan is a special gift from Allah ﷻ. It is the month in which Muslims around the world fast from dawn until sunset, increase their worship, and turn their hearts towards their Creator.
Ramadan is much more than staying away from food and drink. It is a month of spiritual renewal—a time to leave behind harmful habits, seek forgiveness, strengthen our faith, and become better servants of Allah ﷻ.
📖 The Month of the Qur'an
Allah ﷻ says:
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ
“The month of Ramadan is that in which the Qur'an was revealed.”
— Qur'an 2:185
🤲 What Is Ramadan Really About?
Ramadan teaches us to control our desires, be patient, and remember those who have less than we do. Hunger and thirst remind us of our dependence upon Allah ﷻ and encourage us to show kindness and generosity towards others.
🕌 Salah
Protect your five daily prayers and use Ramadan to strengthen your connection with salah.
📖 Qur'an
Spend time every day reading, listening to, and reflecting upon the Qur'an.
🤲 Duʿa
Turn to Allah with your needs, hopes, worries, and gratitude.
❤️ Charity
Look for opportunities to feed, help, and support those in need.
🌿 Fasting With Purpose
Fasting is one of the greatest acts of worship in Ramadan. But the fast should not only affect our stomachs. It should also affect our tongues, eyes, ears, hands, and hearts.
A fasting person should try to avoid lying, arguing, gossiping, hurting others, and everything that takes away from the spirit of the fast. Ramadan gives us the opportunity to practice self-control and develop better character.
✨ Make This Ramadan Different
✔️ Fast sincerely for Allah ﷻ.
✔️ Guard your tongue from harmful speech.
✔️ Read the Qur'an every day.
✔️ Protect your salah.
✔️ Increase your dhikr and duʿa.
✔️ Give charity and help others.
✔️ Forgive and ask for forgiveness.
✔️ Leave harmful habits behind.
💚 Don't Waste the Opportunity
Ramadan passes quickly. The days may seem long while we are fasting, but before we know it, the month will be coming to an end.
Do not wait for the perfect day to begin improving yourself. Start with what you can do today. One page of the Qur'an, one sincere duʿa, one act of kindness, or one prayer performed with greater concentration can become a beautiful step towards Allah ﷻ.
اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْنَا رَمَضَانَ وَأَعِنَّا عَلَى صِيَامِهِ وَقِيَامِهِ
O Allah, allow us to reach Ramadan and help us to fast and stand in prayer during it.
🌙 A Ramadan Reminder
Ramadan is an invitation to come closer to Allah ﷻ. It is a chance to renew our faith, cleanse our hearts, and seek His mercy and forgiveness.
Let us welcome Ramadan with gratitude, sincerity, and determination. May this be the Ramadan in which our hearts become softer, our worship becomes stronger, and our lives become closer to the guidance of Islam.
🤲 May Allah bless our Ramadan.
May Allah ﷻ accept our fasting, prayers, Qur'an, charity, and every sincere deed. May He forgive our sins, strengthen our faith, and allow us to leave Ramadan better than when we entered it. Ameen.
🌙 Ramadan Mubarak
Welcome, O month of mercy, forgiveness, and worship.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
🌙 Shaʿban
Prepare Your Ramadan Plan
Enter Ramadan with intention, purpose and a plan.
🌿 Ramadan Is Almost Here
Shaʿban gives us a precious opportunity to prepare before Ramadan arrives. Rather than entering Ramadan without a plan, take some time now to think about how you want to use this blessed month.
Ramadan is not simply about changing our eating and sleeping habits. It is an opportunity to strengthen our relationship with Allah ﷻ, increase our worship, improve our character and seek His forgiveness.
📖 Set Your Intention
Before Ramadan begins, make a sincere intention to use the month wisely. Decide what you want to improve and ask Allah ﷻ to give you the strength and sincerity to achieve it.
📝 Make a Simple Ramadan Plan
```

📖 Qur'an

Decide how much Qur'an you would like to read each day.

🕌 Salah

Protect your five daily prayers and prepare for Taraweeh.

🤲 Duʿa

Make a list of the people and matters you want to remember in your duʿa.

❤️ Charity

Decide how you can help others and give charity throughout Ramadan.

```
⏰ Plan Your Time
Ramadan days can become very busy. Shopping, cooking, work, family responsibilities and social activities can easily take away from our worship if we do not plan ahead.
Use Shaʿban to think about your daily routine. Preparing meals, organising your schedule and reducing unnecessary distractions can help you protect valuable time for Qur'an, salah, dhikr and duʿa.
🌙 My Ramadan Goals
```

☐ Pray all five salah on time

☐ Read Qur'an every day

☐ Make regular dhikr

☐ Make sincere duʿa

☐ Give charity

☐ Help someone in need

☐ Improve my character

☐ Seek Allah's forgiveness

```
💚 Keep It Realistic
Do not make your Ramadan plan so difficult that you become discouraged. A small amount of worship performed consistently can be better than making a huge plan that becomes impossible to maintain.
Choose a few important goals and work on them sincerely. Ramadan is about drawing closer to Allah ﷻ, not competing with other people.
رَبِّ أَعِنِّي وَلَا تُعِنْ عَلَيَّ
```

O my Lord, help me and do not make things difficult for me.

```
🌙 A Final Shaʿban Reminder
Shaʿban is coming to an end, and Ramadan is approaching. The preparation we make today can help us enter Ramadan with a stronger heart and clearer purpose.
Do not wait for the first night of Ramadan to decide what you want to achieve. Begin preparing now. Turn back to Allah ﷻ, complete what you owe, increase your worship and make a sincere plan for the month ahead.
🤲 May Allah Allow Us to Reach Ramadan
```

May Allah ﷻ allow us to reach Ramadan in good health and strong faith, accept our fasting and worship, forgive our shortcomings, and make this Ramadan a means of drawing closer to Him. Ameen.

```
